Avalon charity abseil for learning disability experience

1 July 2014

Avalon Sustainable Energy Solutions realised a charity abseil to raise money for Learning Disability Experience (LDX) together with the Ascham Energy Partnership after installing cavity wall insulation by rope access to the ten storey Burrell and Rayner Towers in Walthamstow.

The project was driven by the Ascham Energy Partnership (AEP), a community-focused initiative, supported by the Council to provide energy efficiency advice and services to improve fuel usage and reduce carbon emissions. AEP is a three way partnership that has been set up between Ascham Homes, Osborne and British Gas.

Avalon Sustainable Energy Solutions delivered the works quickly and cost effectively - what better way to celebrate and raise money for Charity afterwards than to abseil down the 30m block of flats?!

LDX is an organisation that provides outcome-based opportunities for children, young people and adults with learning and other disabilities.
